No, I haven’t been eating too much sourdough. My current private practice is part of the Glasgow Counselling Collective based at 204 Bath Street in Glasgow. There are five of us working in the collective and due to demand in the new year I’ve found myself having to refer clients to other counsellors and colleagues practicing elsewhere in the city, who have availability.
At the end of January I had a conversation with a colleague, another psychodynamic counsellor, who was in a similar position and we decided to share an office. We’ve been searching for somewhere suitable for the past few weeks without any success. Either the premises was not suitable or the budget was too high. This week we have found an office which meets our needs at 27 Woodside Place. It’s ten minutes walk from St George’s Cross underground or five minutes from Charing Cross station.
We hope to move in this month, so I should have more availability by the end of March. I plan on being able to see clients on Tuesday afternoons and evenings, Wednesday afternoon and evenings, Thursday mornings and all day on Fridays.
The picture above is of the entrance hall and our office is on the ground floor at the rear of the building. There is a cafe in the basement called The Woodside Place.
Once there is certainty on dates of access, next week, I’ll populate my booking system with newly available appointment times and inform current clients of when the new location will be operational.
I’ll introduce my colleague in my next blog post.
